L. S. A. 23 Byrne was wounded by a shell splinter in No, 2 Station compound.
Mr. Luscombe, Assistant Superintendent of Police, returned from Command Headquarters where he had hand- ed over the Chinese driver mentioned in entry No.3 above, and found that our front line had moved back to Stewart Road without the Police being informed of the fact. This placed No.2 Station in front of the front line. After consultation with the Middlesex Battle Headquarters which had moved to the Sailors & Soldiers Home, and with the approval of the Com- missioner of Police, evacuated to the Sailors Home and Seamen's Institute. The evacuation was complet by 15.00 hours under heavy sniping which carried on throughout.
Mr. Wright Nooth, Assistant Superintendent of Polile, took a party of one European and ten Indians to Aberdeen to reinforce Police strength. As the Stalia was by now badly damaged,they were quartered with the Naval Police in the Dockyard A.R.P. tunnel.
L. S. A.142 Kinloch had an interview with the Commis sioner of Police regarding the activities of Fifth Columnists on the Peak and co-operation with the Military to deal with them.

L. S. A. 106 Leslie was killed by robbers when he came on the scene of an attempted robbery at No.6 Hospi- tal Road with a Weihaiwei patrol. One robber was shot dead but the remainder escaped.)
